Director of Facilities & Maintenance

Faith Christian School, a private classical Christian school nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Roanoke, Virginia, is seeking a Director of Facilities & Maintenance. This person assumes responsibility for the overall maintenance, operation, and repair of the school and related equipment to provide a safe, clean, healthy, and attractive facility. This full-time, hourly position is hands-on, not just supervisory, with additional overtime hours required as needed. The person in this position supervises one full-time custodian.

The Facilities Director manages the outsourced cleaning company, landscapers, and other contractors as needed. The candidate must be able to routinely lift one hundred pounds. In Virginia, all school employees must complete and pass a fingerprint-based background check. The successful candidate must be able to sign and agree to our Christian Role Model Agreement. Preference will be given to candidates with a variety of handyman skills. Hourly pay rate is based on experience with a pay range of $24-$29 per hour.
