The Faith Christian School Board is composed of dedicated leaders with deep professional experience and strong ties to the FCS community. Chair Katy Eng brings a background in economics and corporate financial planning. Vice-Chair Greg Beecher is an organizational psychologist who specializes in leadership and talent development. Treasurer Jim Forney contributes more than a decade of service to FCS and a career in accounting and finance. Stephen Hamilton offers expertise in insurance and risk management along with a passion for student growth. Ellie Hammer, a nationally recognized financial advisor, serves multiple nonprofit boards and is active in the Roanoke community. Jan Sessor, business founder and corporate board member, helped launch the school’s leadership series. Wesley Williams, a technology and cybersecurity leader for Roanoke City Public Schools, brings extensive experience in education technology and community ministry.

Mom to Caleb (’24), Ellie (11th grade), Hannah (8th grade). Katy has a BA in Mathematics and Economics from Northwestern University and an MA in Economics from the University of Memphis. She spent seven years in Fortune 500 companies focused on economic reporting and Corporate Financial Planning and Reporting. Katy became a stay-at-home mom with the birth of her oldest.

Greg, father of Anna (’24), Adam (’24), Amelia (8th grade), and Allen Paul (5th ), is passionate about helping people and organizations reach their full potential. He currently leads talent development at Virginia Tech, where he creates leadership programs and drives change initiatives that make a real impact. With a PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology and certifications like SPHR and SHRM-SCP, Greg brings deep expertise in coaching, team development, and organizational effectiveness. Over the years, he’s partnered with universities, nonprofits, and businesses to build stronger teams and leaders who thrive in complex environments.

Jim has been a member of the Finance Committee since 2013 and has served on the FCS Board of Directors as Treasurer since 2018.  His family of four has been associated with FCS since 2008. He is a 1997 graduate of the University of Virginia.  Professionally, his work has included various roles in accounting and finance in both the public and private sectors. Jim is currently the Finance Director at ETS Recruit. He enjoys hiking, iPhone photography, and Bible study.

Stephen, father of Charlotte (7th grade) and Carson (3rd grade), is a Roanoke native who is passionate about advancing the mission of Faith Christian School and fostering programs that nurture student growth and character development.  As a seasoned insurance and risk management professional, Stephen has extensive experience advising and supporting businesses across the country.  He is a devoted husband and father who enjoys spending time outdoors with family, exploring Virginia's Blue Ridge, and staying active in the community.

Ellie has been a Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch since 2011. She holds the designations of Certified Financial Planner and Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor. Ellie has been recognized as Forbes Best in State Female Financial Advisors (2022, 2023, & 2024) as well as nominated for Barron's Top 100 Female Financial Advisors in the Nation (2025).  Ellie serves her community and passions by serving on the boards of Faith Christian School, Junior Achievement, Boston Children’s Hospital–Children’s Rare Disease Collaborative, and the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra. Ellie is a past Board of Director for Rotary of the Blue Ridge, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Blue Ridge Literacy. She resides in Roanoke with her husband, Mark, and their 4 children, Alexander (6th grade), Sebastian (2 nd grade), Christian (K), and Grace (JK).

Jan and his wife Julie (former board member) have two children blessed with a Faith Christian School education, Clara (’23) and Jackson (11th grade). A graduate from Virginia Tech Pamplin School of Business, Jan is currently president of Universal Rx, a company he founded in 1995, serves on other corporate and foundation boards, and is a current member of the National Association of Corporate Directors. Jan is the founding and past chair of the school’s Roanoke Valley Leadership Series.

Wesley Williams | Faith Christian School Board Member
Wesley Williams, Member

Wesley currently serves as the Executive Director of Technology for Roanoke City Public Schools and as a member of the Governor’s Cybersecurity Planning Committee. Wesley most recently earned his Level 2 certification to become a Virtual Chief Information Security Officer (CvCISO). Previously, he completed the Leader as Coach Program through Brown University’s School of Professional Studies. Wesley is a Certified Education Technology Leader (CETL) and a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the University of Pennsylvania, where he also received a Wharton Leadership Certificate from the Wharton School of Business. Wesley holds a Master of Education degree in Instructional Technology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Valdosta State University. He is a member of Belmont Church, where he serves as a MicroChurch Pastor. Wesley is married to Whittney, and they have two sons, Wynston (1st grade) and Wade, who is three years old. Whittney (RN) is an Operations Manager at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
