Meet Our New Head of School

Faith Christian School is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Kyle Rapinchuk, Ph.D., as the school’s next Head of School, beginning July 1, 2026.

After a thoughtful and prayerful search process, the Board of Directors unanimously extended the offer to Dr. Rapinchuk. His experience in classical Christian education, his leadership in curriculum and school administration, and his deep commitment to Christian formation make him a strong fit for the vision and mission of Faith Christian School.

Dr. Rapinchuk most recently served as Head of School at Sager Classical Academy in Arkansas. Prior to that, he spent twelve years at School of the Ozarks in Missouri as Associate Professor of Christian Worldview and Upper School Curriculum Director, where he played a key role in developing and strengthening a Christian classical program. He earned a B.A. in English from College of the Ozarks, an M.Div. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. in Biblical Studies (Old Testament) from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary.

A colleague described Kyle as possessing a “rare balance of academic horsepower and a pastor’s heart.” His intellectual depth and academic training are paired with genuine pastoral care for students and families.

Kyle and his wife, Kristin, have served in ministry together for many years and have three children who have all been classically educated. They will relocate to Roanoke this summer with their son Aviel.

Dr. Rapinchuk also founded The Classical Thistle, an organization dedicated to promoting Christian classical education through writing and conferences, and he serves with the Society for Classical Learning as an editor for accreditation reports and as a member of accreditation teams.

Reflecting on this new role, Dr. Rapinchuk shared:
